New car …again?
Yep. With Melinda not driving much at all, we have no need for two vehicles. And, with gas cresting $4/gallon, my truck is just too damned expensive to drive full-time. I pretty much refuse to drive a FWD or RWD vehicle in the winters, so that means all-truck, all-winter, camry sits in the garage.
Well, bunk with that. We’re trading both for a new one of these. Engine is a 2.0L inline-4 with a turbo, spun through a 6-speed tiptronic auto tranny into Audi’s Quattro. And yes, thank Jesus, it’s got paddle shifters. Other bells & whistles included, of course. It’s the only Avant (wagon) within 50 miles of me, and it just got unloaded on Friday. It’s the first A4 Avant at this dealer all year, and we had a hold deposit on it the following day. We’ll be completing the transaction on Saturday, after a Left On Sunset show.
Man, I’m gonna miss my truck. Thanks, dad.
In other news, I love my new job. w00t! (’cept for those two days spent in Assembly…)
